On December 8, 2023, the prestigious annual international architectural competition POLAND URBAN AWARDS and INTERIOR OF THE YEAR took place at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
According to the organizers, it is “a competition aimed at selecting the best architectural projects, regardless of shape, size, or budget.”
The jury consisted of:
Christos Passas – Design Director, Zaha Hadid Architects (UK)
Carlo Colombo – Architect and Designer (Italy)
Hiroki Matsuura – Masa Architects + MADMA urbanism+landscape (Netherlands)
Marcel Wanders – Leading product and interior designer (Netherlands)
The Polish Farmstead received the second prize in the “Residential Architecture” category. The jury’s justification states that the spatial and formal richness of the Polish Farmstead transforms the popular modern barn concept into a new architectural dimension, creating a homestead immersed in greenery.
