Tight but Tall

The “Tight but Tall” house is part of a collection of personalized single-family house designs by BXB studio. It is a house with a built-up area of 66 m² and a usable area of 112 m². It is available in various material and spatial variations, such as with a canopy roof or a flat roof. It can be quickly and predictably personalized to meet the individual expectations of the investor or local regulations.

It has a very interesting spatial layout. The individual rooms are distributed across 4 different levels. The ground floor of the house, with an area of 51 m², consists of an entrance area with a toilet, a kitchen with an island, a dining room, and a living room with a height of over 4 meters, glazed towards the adjacent terrace. The remaining levels offer a layout of 3 rooms. In total, the house is equipped with 3 bathrooms.

Personalized homes by BXB studio, designed for individual customization, represent a completely new type of architectural service. Thanks to a developed system of proven schemes, it allows for much faster realization of house projects tailored to the budget, individual requirements, and various locations.

When designing the building’s form, we sought harmony and simplicity, good proportions, and natural materials that will age well over time. While arranging the interiors of these small structures, we primarily focused on the principle of interior space ergonomics. In the living area, we placed the signature “Lotus Flower” sofa, designed by BXB studio. The character of the interior is complemented by paintings from the “Abundance” series by Natalia Jóźwiak, which perfectly harmonize with the surroundings of soft forms, the sofa, fireplace, coffee table, and the texture of wood.

These houses can form picturesque ensembles of intimate settlements. The first group of houses will be built in the Beskid Wyspowy. An interesting solution is the proposal of various layouts for the arrangement of houses within the settlement – ranging from traditional linear layouts to concentric ones, with a central courtyard serving as a place for resident integration. These variants can be adapted to the topography of the land – for example, in the Beskid Wyspowy, a terraced layout of houses would introduce an additional aesthetic value, highlighting views and the natural surroundings.
