The Plan Award for The Polish House

The Polish House, designed by BXB studio, is the first single-family building from Poland to reach the top of this competition.

The award ceremony took place on 17 November in Milan. The winners were selected from 1,200 entries, 700 nominations and 433 finalists. The 39 winning and 20 commended projects in 20 categories were selected by a jury of professionals and academics from the world of architecture and design in a line-up that confirms the international stature and prestige of the awards: Yehuda Safran, art and architecture critic and professor at the School of Architecture of Pratt Institute; Huang Wenjing, co-founder of Open Architecture and professor at Tsinghua University; Michael Webb, critic and writer, author of 25 books on architecture and design; Li Xiangning, dean and professor at the School of Architecture and Urbanism of Tongji University; Patrícia Santos Pedrosa, Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies – University of Lisbon; Valerio Paolo Mosco, architect and critic; Elena Tomasi, director of the Monaco-based FPMC ; Raymund Ryan, curator of architecture at the Heinz Architectural Centre at the Carnegie Museum of Art; Diane Gray, director of the Laboratory of Architecture for Healthcare Barcelona and editor-in-chief of Roca Gallery.

THE PLAN is one of the two most important Italian architectural magazines, selling 30,000 copies worldwide every month, as well as a huge international online publication.
