Tight but My Own

The “Tight but My Own” house is another type of personalized single-family house design by BXB studio. It is a house with a built-up area of 54 m2 and a usable area of 69 m2. Available in various material and spatial variations, such as with or without an eaves roof. It can be quickly and predictably customized to meet the individual expectations of the investor or the requirements of local regulations.

The ground floor of the house, with an area of 35 m2, consists of an entrance area with a toilet, kitchen, dining area, and an elevated living room with glass walls opening onto the adjacent terrace. The first floor, covering 34 m2, includes two rooms and a bathroom. The total usable area of the house is 69 m2.

Personalized houses from BXB studio, designed for individual customization, represent a completely new type of architectural service. Thanks to the developed system of proven templates, these houses can be realized much faster, tailored to the budget, individual requirements, and various locations.

When designing the building’s form, we sought harmony and simplicity, good proportions, and natural materials that will age well over time. In arranging the interiors of these small buildings, we primarily focused on the principle of ergonomic space planning. In the living area, we placed the original “Lotus Flower” sofa designed at BXB studio. The character of the interior is complemented by paintings from the series “Abundance” by Natalia Jóźwiak, which harmonize perfectly with the surroundings of soft, rounded forms, the sofa, fireplace, coffee table, and the texture of wood.

These houses can form picturesque clusters of intimate settlements. The first group of houses will be built in Beskid Wyspowy. An interesting solution is the proposal of various layout options for the houses within the settlement – ranging from traditional linear arrangements to concentric layouts with a central courtyard serving as a gathering space for residents. These variants can be adapted to the terrain’s topography – for example, in Beskid Wyspowy, a terraced arrangement of houses will introduce an additional aesthetic value, showcasing the views and natural surroundings.
