First Prize – Polish Architecture XXL

The Polish Farmhouse honored by the Jury with the First Prize in the plebiscite – Polish Architecture XXL. The Polish Farmhouse is the most awarded single-family house from Poland.

In the newly opened building of the Maritime Science Center in Szczecin, the award gala of the 15th edition of the Poland Architecture XXL plebiscite organized by the Sztuka-Architektury.pl publishing house took place on June 6, 2023.

The Polish Farmhouse project by BXB studio was honored by the jury with the first prize in the “Private Facilities” category.

The jury appreciated the project for its bold and successful attempt to combine a rural farmhouse with a modern residential residence and an original transformation of the characteristic homestead layout.

We would like to thank the Jury of the competition for the first prize awarded in the Polish Architecture XXL plebiscite. This is a great honor for us and further proof of recognition of our work and the philosophy adopted. Congratulations to all the winners. We would like to thank the editors of Sztuka Architektury and all media patrons of the event.

“At BXB studio we design buildings that are both modern and referring to tradition. This combination allows us to create interesting forms, as exemplified by The Polish Farmhouse, which is a creative transformation of a typical rural farmhouse into a modern residential residence, where instead of five outbuildings slated for demolition, we designed five interpenetrating barns that create an interesting, extremely dynamic space.” Boguslaw Barnaś
